Sarah M. Cabarcas Osman specializes in the prosecution of complex litigation matters, specifically, protection of privacy rights for models and talent in the fashion, entertainment, and sports industry. Additionally, she helps businesses and individuals build and manage their reputation and brand and protect against online libel and slander. Sarah also handles Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-related cases, emphasizing Title II and III matters.
Prior to joining The Berman Law Group, Sarah successfully represented models and actors against claims arising under federal laws and state misappropriation and defamation practice. Using combinations of negotiation and litigation, Sarah resolved disputed claims for her clients in a wide variety of unique and challenging cases.
Sarah gathered a wide array of experience as a litigator practicing law in the area of insurance defense. Her clients included both local and national insurance companies. Sarah’s practice included first-party coverage issues, general coverage issues, and litigation of first party claims and general liability. Sarah has also successfully represented heirs and beneficiaries in disputes relating to trusts and estates and reached several favorable settlements involving bodily injury, general negligence and breach of fiduciary actions.
Sarah has a background in contract drafting, settlement negotiation, and insurance. Before practicing law, Sarah worked for a private company where she analyzed structured and closed sophisticated transactions to protect hospital capital and profitability. She also appealed wrongfully denied or underpaid insurance claims.
Sarah is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts and federal courts. Sarah graduated from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2009. While in law school, Sarah served as a legal intern for the Office of the Public Defender 4th Judicial Circuit. Before law school, she graduated from The University of Florida where she held the office of Cabinet Director for the Orange and Blue Cabinet in 2004 and was the Public Relations Chair for the University of Florida Hispanic Student Association in 2003.
Sarah remains active in the local community and enjoys several hobbies including kickboxing and spending time with her loved ones, especially her son Nikolas.
